Scopus Update
A Message from the Editors-in-Chief
We would like to inform our valued authors, reviewers, and readers about an important update regarding the European Journal of Pure and Applied Mathematics (EJPAM).
Scopus has notified us that EJPAM has entered its standard re-evaluation cycle as part of the platform’s periodic quality assurance procedures. Such reviews are routinely conducted for many indexed journals to ensure long-term consistency, transparency, and alignment with Scopus’ evolving evaluation criteria.
We view this process as an opportunity to further strengthen our editorial operations and to reinforce our commitment to the highest standards of scientific quality and publication ethics.
Ongoing Quality Enhancements
To ensure EJPAM remains at the forefront of ethical and rigorous scholarly publishing, we have recently implemented a series of structural improvements:
Enhanced Ethics Screening
A mandatory author integrity check has been introduced, including automated Retraction History Screening through our internal database infrastructure to ensure full ethical compliance.
Responsible and Sustainable Growth
To maintain our high standards during a period of increasing submissions, acceptance rates will be carefully calibrated in 2026 to support deeper editorial and ethical review.
Strengthened Citation Policy
A new Citation Policy has been published, explicitly prohibiting coercive or unnecessary citations and reinforcing transparency and fairness in the editorial and review processes.
Ethics Governance Framework
A Publication Ethics Review Committee has been established to monitor high-risk submissions and ensure alignment with COPE principles.
Our Commitment to the Academic Community
We remain fully committed to supporting the global mathematics community through rigorous peer review, strong ethical practices, and transparent editorial policies.
EJPAM continues to progress steadily, reflected in its increasing CiteScore and scientific visibility, and we are confident that this routine re-evaluation will further strengthen our journal.
Thank you for your continued trust and support.
